Capt. Andy Everhart is an experienced captain with over 30 years of fishing the waters in and around southeastern North Carolina. Andy grew up fishing offshore with his grandfather Capt Bruce Everhart, former owner of “Hooker Charters”
Capt. Andy is the host of the Southern Sportfishing Saltwater television series which airs locally in Southeastern North Carolina. His saltwater series features everything from surf fishing, to inshore, and offshore to the Gulf Stream.
Through his television series, Capt. Andy was selected to become one of only a handful of fishermen in the country to be a member of Team Century’s Pro-Elite Team. The team was headed up by Mr. Joe Mercurio host of the PTTS (Professional Tarpon Tournament Series) which features the hottest Tarpon fishing in the world at Boca Grande Pass. Capt. Andy is a member of Yamaha Motor Corporation’s Pro Staff for Southeastern North Carolina and is running a 31 ft Contender Center Console with brand new twin Yamaha 300 two strokes.
Capt. Andy’s goal is to accommodate everyone from the serious angler to a family that just wants to get away from it all and enjoy a peaceful day on the water. And yes, we are kid friendly!! Capt. Andy will ensure that you and your family have a true Southern Sportfishing experience.

We absolutely loved going out fishing with you and we made some amazing memories while we were on our honeymoon out catching Mahi and all the other fish (there were so many!) We plan to come back and go out again we are just a little far away at the moment. We are in Guam but we still sport the The Southern Sportfishing merch here on the island!!! Thanks again to an amazing fishing experience and a good time!!
